Today was another brief #Wirecard day. A Rosenheim criminal investigation officer, who handled three or four money laundering reports, was questioned at the Justice Center on Munich's Nymphenburger Strasse.

Today's witness, Michael Munkert, served in the Criminal Investigation Department's Special Investigation Unit (SoKo) from November 2020 to mid-March 2021, handling trust accounts, FIU money laundering reports, and one from Wirecard itself.
#Wirecard planned to acquire Deeyou Tecnologia de Pagamentos S.A. in Brazil and Cettle Holdings in the Virgin Islands, with talks starting in 2014, leading to several executive agreements.
It was agreed to hold 54 million euros in Wirecard trust accounts as security for a future exclusive takeover of these companies.
Wirecard witness Munkert prepared reports, reviewed correspondence, and confirmed balances. A total of nearly €54 million from Wirecard was transferred in 2014 and 2015 to Strategic Corporate Investments Pte Ltd, led by T. Rajaratnam. More about him here:

T. Rajaratnam is reportedly related to R. Shanmugaratnam, a director of Citadelle, Billpay, and Goomo. Witness Munkert stated the 2014 and 2015 Executive Agreements involved 29 and 34 million euros, totaling over 53 million euros. Marsalek mediated with Deeyou for #Wirecard; von Erffa signed with Cettle. Law firms acted as intermediaries, including during contract signing. Although the EAs were signed in 2014 and 2015, no actual company purchase contract was concluded until 2018 after a long pause in official communication.
The judge asked about correspondence between Görres and Holten, known internally in 2015. The judge inquired who drafted the contract, noting that no answers were provided except in emails. In one email, Marsalek was asked if he drafted the contract and responded, “Yes, let’s talk about it on Monday.”
The judge then asked about balance confirmations linked to Stephan von Erffa. On April 9, 2018, von Erffa and Knoop corresponded with Marsalek regarding Strategic Corporate Investment company in Singapur (owner T. Rajaratnam).
Witness confirmed O’Sullivan was mentioned in a #Wirecard email. The judge noted Ms. M’agebi’s involvement.
A safe deposit box contained items M’wagebi claimed were wedding gifts, cash, and valuables, normal in her cultural context (strangely including rolls of 10,000.00 Euros in bills !).
The judge asked if Munkert knew whether the defense attorney had called M’wagebi; she was unsure. The judge mentioned items on M’wagebi’s balcony belonging to Bellenhaus, as M’wagebi stated. About €410 in cash, deposited by Bellenhaus upon leaving the company, was also left with her.
Munkert confirmed M’wagebi was informed of her rights when arriving at her apartment door.
